Step 4: Cable Device to Media Component
Cabling between the device and Media Component depends on the chosen connectivity method:

Connect the RJ-45 connector, located on one end of the network cable, to the SBC 's Ethernet port that you assigned to the Cluster interface for the Media Component.

Connect the RJ-45 connector, on the other end of the network cable, to the Media Component's Ethernet port that you assigned to the Cluster interface.

c.
|
Verify that the Ethernet link status for the port is "Up" (Monitor menu > Monitor tab > Network Status folder > Ethernet Port Information). |

Indirect Connectivity (through Ethernet switch):

a.
|
Connect the SBC device's Ethernet port that you assigned to the Cluster interface for the Media Component to the network. |

b.
|
Connect the Media Component's Ethernet port that you assigned to the Cluster interface, to the network. |
|
c.
|
Verify that the Ethernet link status for the port is "Up" (Monitor menu > Monitor tab > Network Status folder > Ethernet Port Information). |
